Drop Arm Awnings

The Drop Arm Awning is a durable blind, available in either the standard drop arm cassette which has a fixed pivoting arm with a maximum arm projection of 1.5 metres, or with an Autolift arm system which has a maximum projection of 2 metres, both are available in widths from 600mm to 6 metres wide.

The awning housing is manufactured from a one piece aluminium extrusion which protects the blind fabric when retracted, the unit is fitted to the wall on mounting brackets which keeps the cassette virtually flush to the wall for maximum weather ability.  The blind arms are fitted with an internal spring to ensure the cover is kept taut.  The aluminium profiles are powder coated to a high quality finish in white RAL 9016 as standard or they can be finished in any RAL or British standard colour if required.

The drop arm blind is an ideal type of blind where the fixing is not suitable for a foldaway type blind, due to the weight of the unit and the demands they put on the mounting brackets.  With the drop arm blind it has multiple fixing points which helps spread the load of the blind if the facia is not suitable to have a foldaway fitted.

There is a wide range of acrylic fabrics available from plains to multi stripe colours from all the leading manufacturers, all the fabrics are specially treated so they will not rot and are fade resistant.
