The main advantage of Plantation Shutters is that they are virtually maintenance free, and when privacy and light control are top of the list shutters can't be beaten.  It's so easy to just tilt the louver's slightly, still allowing sufficient light into your room but also keeping nosey neighbours at bay.

All our shutters are craftsman made to your individual requirements, window widths are made up from a number of panels hinged together to enable them to fold back. The louvers within each panel  can be controlled by a central rod or a rear hidden tilt rod to offer an excellent degree of light control .

The shutters can be manufactured from a wide variety of woods ranging from Basswood, Western Red Cedar, Poplar and engineered timber (Low Density Fibreboard).   With a full range of louver slat sizes: 47mm, 64mm, 89mm and 114mm available.

The shutters are available in an array of stained and painted finishes, with a range of fittings in brass, chrome or stainless steel offered to compliment the panels.

Automated light control
Available now, as an optional specification on our hardwood full height and arched shutters, the remote control feature adds panache and provides automated light control. Precise alignment of multiple panels at the touch of a button is a breeze and brings previously out of reach windows under your control. Wireless, smooth and quiet, this revolutionary development enhances the functionality of your ShutterCraft shutters.

What about the style, how will wooden shutters look in your home. Window Shutters are available in three main styles. First there are full height window shutters. This is where your shutters are the full height of the window from bottom to top.  Next there is there are Cafe style Window shutters, this is where the shutters normally cover just the bottom half of the window. And then there are Tier on Tier shutters, with this style you have two sets of shutters one above the other. With this style you can open the top shutters and the bottom shutters independently of each other providing more flexibility of use.
