Custom made Plantation shutters have been the bench mark of elegance at the window for many years throughout America, they are now being used by discerning designers in the U.K.

When you see the photos it is not difficult to imagine the impact that wooden shutters can have on your home's appearance, however Plantation Shutters are also practical.  They can create privacy in a moment's notice, and can just as easily give a room the feeling of openness.

Plantation shutters are very effective at protecting your furnishings from the damaging sun rays.  Wood is also a superb insulator and can help keep your home at a comfortable temperature, no matter what the weather.

The shutters are craftsman made to your individual requirements, window widths are made up from a number of panels hinged together to enable them to fold back. The louvres within each panel  can be controlled by a central rod to offer an excellent degree of light control.

The shutters are made from a Grade A Basswood from the United States available in two sizes of slats 48mm x 10mm and 31mm x 8mm.  Any one panel should not exceed 457mm wide and 2032mm Drop.

The shutters are available in an array of stained and painted finishes, with a range of fittings in brass or chrome offered to compliment the panels.

Plantation shutters are available in three main styles of configuration, full window drop panels, Cafe style with just the lower half of the window being covered and tier on tier with the top and bottom panels working independently to each other.
