Operation
The standard operation consists of an endless cord with cord weight in the
colour of the Silhouette® shade. The length of the cord is dependent on
the height of the Silhouette® shade:
Product height Length of cord loop
30 cm – 90 cm 60 cm
90 cm – 150 cm 90 cm
150 cm – 210 cm 120 cm
210 cm – 240 cm 150 cm
240 cm – 300 cm 180 cm
Alternative lengths of the cord loop (only in white) are possible. The
extra large lengths are 180 cm/ 210 cm/ 240cm/300 cm/360 cm.
As standard a transparent cord tensioner, which can be fixed to the frame,
is supplied with the blind. When the cord weight is clicked into the cord
tensioner, the cord hangs closely along the side of the Silhouette® shade,
thereby reducing the risk of a child or an animal becoming entangled in
the cord. This makes the whole thing safer and the shade can continue to
be operated.
Further characteristics are:
-Only when the Silhouette® shade has been completely lowered can the slats
be tilted (to one side only)
-The operating side can be either on the left or the right side.
For more operating convenience a full
electrically operated Silhouette® shade is available. With this, the
raising and lowering as well as the tilting of the Silhouette® shade are
all possible via one operating mechanism.
Various possibilities with electrical operation are:
-Operation by switch
-Operation by remote control
-Central operation of several Silhouette® shades
-Central and individual operation of several Silhouette® shades

Cleaning
Luxaflex® Silhouette® shades look vulnerable but in fact they are very
durable. Regular dusting with a feather duster is usually sufficient to
keep your Silhouette® shade clean and attractive for a long time.
A more thorough dusting can be done with a hand-held vacuum cleaner at the
lowest setting. Drag the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner to the side of the
fabric so that the dirt between the front and back of the shade is also
collected. You can also use a hair dryer on the coolest setting for this.
Blow the dust to the side of the fabric.
Deeper dirt and most stains can be removed by immersing the product in a
bath (max. 30°C) with a non-synthetic detergent. Then rinse with clean
water, hang it up and allow to dry with the slats in the closed position.
TAKE CARE! The headrail must not get wet.
If the shade is wider than the bath you are using, you can wipe the fabric
off with a soft sponge or have it cleaned by a professional cleaning
company that has a bath and possibly ultrasonic cleaning techniques.
All Luxaflex® Silhouette® shade fabrics are made from 100% polyester,
which means that they are hard-wearing and strong. Always work carefully
and avoid creasing the fabric, especially in the places where the slats
are attached. Should creases occur, these will usually disappear after a
short time.
TAKE CARE! Do not iron!
